Your Role -
As a Cover Supervisor your role is to cover in the absence of permanent teaching staff in local secondary schools. You will be tasked with the supervision of classes of 25 - 30 students, handing out pre-planned work, managing behaviour and ensuring that they are staying on task and assisting where possible. You aren't expected to be a subject specialist in every subject just as a responsible adult in the room to supervise the lesson.
All you need is a degree in any subject or previous experience in working with groups of young people (Experienced Cover Supervisor, Sports Coach, TA or Scout leaders being good examples).
