A Coventry based Primary school is looking to recruit a full time Year 5 and 6 Teacher to start on 24th April for 1 term.

This school is a junior school that is part of a federation and the successful candidate will be required to teach the Key Stage 2 curriculum to year 5 and 6 children. Classes are of a reasonable size and there is excellent support throughout the school.

The post requires a year 5 and 6 teacher with considerable Key stage 2 teaching experience specialising in Year 5 and 6. The successful candidate will be required to plan all lessons, attend staff meetings and parents evenings. The School will want the successful candidate to get as involved with the school as possible and will be made to feel part of the team from the offset. There may also be the opportunity to go permanent if things go well. Qualified applicants must have proven knowledge and experience of the Key stage 2 curriculum specifically in year 5 and 6 as they will be expected to teach effectively and to contribute ideas to improve education. Strong behaviour management skills will also be required. NQTs are welcome though the ability to think on their feet is essential. You will be joining a welcoming environment coupled with a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

The Vacancy is for 1 term with the option of moving permanent if you are successful in the role.

Skills and Ability

The successful candidate will essentially have:

*British QTS or equivalent
*Have an in-depth understanding of the Key stage 2 National curriculum.
*An understanding of child protection, safeguarding policy and procedure.
*The capacity to identify and target specific, individual needs
*Dedication to raising standards

It is desirable that the successful candidate has:

*Ability to be innovative in planning and delivering
*Strong communication skills both written and verbal as demonstrated by an ability to form positive partnerships with other professionals
*Ability to use IT systems and interactive whiteboards
*Ability to demonstrate commitment to the integration of equality and diversity
