Salary: Grade 4 (FTE £26738 - £33471), Actual Salary £23447-£29351)
Working Hours: 37.5 hours p/week, Term Time plus 5 days.
Contract starts from: ASAP

Aspire People are working closely with a secondary school in Birmingham with the recruitment of an experienced School Data Manager. The role is to start as soon as possible and is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Data Manager who is looking for a new challenge.

The successful candidate will be engaging, forward thinking and have a sound understanding of the
schools data management. You must be a good team player and willing to share your ideas and
expertise for the benefit of the school.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Maintain student data held within the schools MIS and database systems.
· To be responsible for the setup and maintenance of the analysis tool SISRA/RM Integris/SIMS
and enable timely analysis of predicted and actual grades. Working with staff to help their
understanding of this tool.
· To support on the maintenance and update of SIMS.
· To assist the Senior Leadership Team with the interpretation and analysis of student data
(results, predictions and pastoral) against national and school contexts.
· Collate key stage 2 data (and other extended details) from feeder primary schools. Distribute
data as appropriate to assist with the smooth progression from key stage 2 to key stage 3.
· Upload data that comes into school electronically e.g. CATS, FFT, all Key Stages results.
· Oversee the baseline assessment routine for new entrants to school including liaising with
previous schools, SEN and Year Teams.
· Create and produce student/subject reports each half-term for different audiences (pastoral
and subject teams) on such information as rewards and behaviour data.
· Complete appropriate data input associated with the smooth administration of the school
using the MIS (RM Integris/SIMS) e.g. staff and student records. Working with others where
appropriate but retaining oversight and offering training/support where necessary.
· Complete various forms, returns and statistics e.g. the Local Authority, Directors and other
departments.
· Deal with student data queries from official agencies e.g. Local Authority/NHS Health Trust.
· Analysis of examination results (KS4 and KS5 including teacher of professional predictions).
· To assist with the electronic administration of the school timetable, including the
administrative changes regarding staffing, rooming and teaching set channels using agreed
processes to ensure accuracy.

· Analyse and present data to a wide range of audiences ensuring that it impacts the decision
making and development of the school.
· To oversee the primary school data systems and procedures.
· Support non-teaching staff in using the data systems to improve their productivity both in the
short and long term.
· Be familiar with and ensure compliance with all current legislative requirements, i.e. data
protection, copyright and compute misuse and advise staff as appropriate.
· Undertake training and development relevant to the post and in line with the school's
development profile.
· Working with other administration staff on the up-keep of the school's electronic records
including student and personal information.
· Keeping a record of colleagues that have failed to meet deadlines on multiple occasions and
reporting this to senior colleagues where appropriate.
· To provide back up support for the attendance office as and when required.
· To be responsible for the health and safety and welfare of themselves and others.
· To be a team player and contribute within your capabilities towards to the vision.
· Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young in accordance with the
school's safeguarding and child protection policy.
· Undertake any reasonable request as directed by the Head Teacher.
To support and uphold the council's/school Equal Opportunities policy and other school policies
and procedures.
