SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant required ASAP I Permanent

A primary school in Leicester has contacted us at Aspire People and are looking for talented SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to specifically support one child in Year 4 with multiple barriers to learning including Autism. This post is permanent and is for ASAP. This post is open to experienced HLTAs, Teaching Assistants with SEN experience or qualifications as well as newly qualified HLTAs/Teaching Assistants.

Duties for this role are:
*Teaching all areas of the primary curriculum with direction from the class teacher.
*Taking responsibility for the progress made during your teaching of a class or group.
*Effectively organising the classroom/learning space and resources to create a positive learning environment.
*Planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within class with guidance from the school and class teacher.
*Motivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation.
*Maintaining discipline.
*Keeping children safe in the learning environment.
*Preparing and marking inline with the school policies to facilitate positive pupil development.
*Meeting requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development inline with the school policies.
*Working with others to plan and coordinate work.
*Staying up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum.
*Taking part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening.
*Liaising with colleagues and working flexibly.
Minimum requirements for this role:
*Living in the UK and a commutable distance to Leicestershire
*HLTA status or equivalent. (We will consider Level 3 Teaching Assistants with HLTA/SEN experience)
*Motivated to work hard and go the extra mile
*Great communication skills and the ability to build long-lasting relationships
*A good track record and references.
