Aspire People's GDPR Readiness
Feel confident about how we look after personal information
As you may already be aware one of the biggest changes to UK data privacy law comes into effect on 25th May 2018. It is called the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We feel it is a really positive step towards individuals having more control over how their personal information is used and people are contacted. The new regulations will replace the Data Protection Act (DPA) of which we have become familiar.
At Aspire People we have always been careful to protect personal information we process. However, in light of these changes you will and should be contacted by a number of organisations asking what data you are happy for them to retain and how you would like them to keep in touch. As you are currently listed on our database we will be contacting you shortly to explain the changes to our policies and procedures. Such changes are essential to ensure that we are compliant with the new regulations.
In advance of further information from us, please find a prelude to Aspire People’s ‘GDPR Statement’ and ‘Privacy Notice’ which will gives a summary of how we use your personal information.
You have the right to object to how we process your personal information. You also have the right to access, correct, sometimes delete and restrict the personal information we use. In addition, you have the right to contact us with any issues you have with the above.
How we gather personal information
We will soon detail the steps we take when gathering, processing and retaining personal information and how we use it to continue to provide the best service to all our work-seeking candidates. We will also detail how we record calls for training and quality control.
How we use personal information
We use personal information solely to provide job opportunities to those actively looking for temporary or permanent work. We also use the information to improve the service we provide to you. For example, personal information such as job history or personal qualifications ensures that we only send information about jobs that are of interest to employees/work-seekers or clients.
