Aspire People is recruiting for a talented English Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Spalding, starting in January 2025. This is an incredible opportunity to ignite a love for literature and language, helping students develop their literacy skills while making a lasting impact on their academic journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons to Key Stage 3 to 5 students.
Plan, prepare, and implement creative, differentiated lessons to cater to the needs of all learners.
Mark student work and provide constructive, timely feedback to encourage academic growth.
Monitor student progress and adjust lessons accordingly to ensure success.
Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment that motivates students to participate.
Collaborate with the English department to enhance the curriculum and share best practices.
Support extracurricular activities, such as drama productions, literary clubs, or writing workshops.
The Ideal Candidate:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in English or a related subject.
Have experience teaching English at secondary school level (KS3 - KS5).
Be passionate about literature and language, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
Possess strong communication skills and the ability to create engaging, student-centered lessons.
Demonstrate excellent organisational and classroom management skills.
Be able to manage planning, marking, and administrative tasks effectively.
Work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the wider school community.
