Job description
We are looking for an Experienced HR Officer to join our dedicated team and ensure the efficient operation of our school's administrative functions.To support our growing school, we are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Administrator to join our successful school administration team.
This role will begin as maternity with a strong potential to become a full time permanent position as the school is expanding.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, shortlisting candidates, conducting interviews, and onboarding new employees.
- Provide HR administrative support, including maintaining accurate employee records and updating HR databases.
- Assist with employee relations, addressing queries, supporting grievance and disciplinary procedures, and ensuring compliance with employment laws.
- Process payroll data and liaise with the finance department to ensure timely salary payments.
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures in line with UK employment legislation.
- Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
- CIPD Qualifications
- Proven experience in an HR Officer, HR Assistant, or similar role within the education sector or similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and school management software (SIMS)
- Excellent time keeping and organisational skills
- Good interpersonal skills and resilience
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with safeguarding and confidentiality protocols in an educational setting.
Experience:
- SIMS: 1 year (desirable)
- Working within a school office: 1 year (desirable)
- Administration experience: 3 years (essential)
