Immediate start, full time, interim with the potential to apply permanently, paid to scale, Ofsted good school we are delighted to be working on behalf of a large secondary school in Birmingham to recruit for an Assistant Headteacher for a temporary to permanent position to start immediately. This is a full time post across KS3 to KS4. The ideal application will have an English teaching specialism and experience with assessment and/or teaching and learning. Your job you’ll be required to lead the raising of achievement and have a main focus on both assessment and teaching and learning across the school. Teaching commitments will be minimal depending on the school requirements on a weekly basis. The school are seeking to appoint an inspirational leader to take on the full responsibilities of a senior member of staff.
The post holder will be expected to develop a team culture that fosters collaborative working between all teaching staff, ensuring a focused commitment to the delivery of a high quality learning experience, with excellent examination results for all students. There will then be the opportunity to apply on a more permanent basis. Due to the nature of the role it is offered as a paid to scale post.
To be successful in your new teaching job you will have completed your studies and hold a UK qualification. You will be an experienced Assistant Headteacher and will have recently completed a similar post across KS3 and KS4. You will be passionate about teaching and learning and committed to helping pupils to achieve their academic potential. The ideal candidate would have been in a long term or permanent role as an Assistant Headteacher and will be able to supply Hays with outstanding references from the previous employer.
