Food Technology Teacher
Aspire People are assisting this is oversubscribed, expanding school and to appoint a teacher of
Food Technology. The Design and Technology Department is a thriving department
that offers a wide range of subjects in all Key Stages. Food Technology is taught throughout the
school. Student success and enthusiasm at KS3 has led to a consistently high uptake at KS4, where
they offer EDUQAS Food Preparation and Nutrition. Mixed ability groups enjoy positive
relationships to support their work and progress to achieve outstanding GCSE results.
The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, confident and have experience of teaching across
the Key Stages. They should be keen to develop existing modules of work to promote student
participation, progress and attainment. The successful candidate should be familiar with the GCSE
specification. Candidates should be able to teach general Design and Technology/Product Design
at KS3; there may also be the opportunity to teach within other areas of Design and Technology.
Applications are welcome from NQT’s and overseas trained teachers with QTS.
