KS1 Leader
Moseley
MPS + TLR 2b – negotiable depending on experience

To lead and manage the Key Stage 1 team to provide high quality learning for all children within a safe, secure, happy
and caring environment
To work in a collaborative way with all members of the teaching and support staff to ensure that high standards are
recognised, valued and maintained in all areas of the curriculum.
To contribute to the strategic direction of the school as a member of the Middle Leadership Team and in doing this
enable the fulfilment of the vision for the school through the day to day support of decisions made.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability;

*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
*Ability to secure high standards of pupil achievement and
behaviour in Key Stage 1
*The ability to demonstrate a positive attitude and to develop and
maintain positive and supportive professional relationships with
children, staff, parents and governors
*Ability to work as part of an effective team
*A thorough knowledge and understanding of how children learn in
*Key Stage 1 and how learning at this stage affects pupils’ future
learning
*Ability to provide a broad, balanced, relevant and creative Key
*Stage 1 curriculum
*Ability to influence the quality of teaching and learning
*Ability to inspire, lead and motivate the children and staff in the
pursuit of excellence
*Ability to develop staff and manage their performance
*A thorough grasp of current educational issues
*Ability to analyse, understand and interpret Early Years Foundation
*Stage performance data, in year data and Key Stage 1 external
data
*Confident user of ICT and evidence of the strategic use of data
*Secure working knowledge of the national curriculum and its
assessment, recording and reporting requirements
*Excellent organisational and time management skills and an ability
to prioritise effectively
