One of our south Derbyshire primary schools is looking for a Mixed Year 1/2 teacher for a short term cover. This OSFTED rated ‘good’, 1 form entry primary school has a very supportive staff who will be very welcoming to any Year 1 / 2 teacher coming in. You will need to be able to plan and deliver engaging lessons and go above and beyond to help develop a caring environment. As the Year 1 / 2 teacher, the successful applicant will take on the role of a permanent member of staff including all planning, staff meetings, parents evenings, report writing etc. from Easter until May half term and then it will drop to 2 days a week for the final half term. This short term position is available due to a new member of staff starting and filling in the gap before her start date.

As a Year 1 / 2 teacher you must:
*Hold UK QTS Primary Education (NQTs welcome to apply)
*Have experience as a Key Stage 1 teacher
*Be hard working and ‘go the extra mile’ with colleagues and pupils alike.
*Have great communication skills and ability to build lasting relationships
*Provide evidence of work history, good references and checkable work history
*Have a proven history of strong behaviour management
