Aspire People are an established education agency who are looking to recruit an experienced School Workshop Technician to work within a Secondary School in Birmingham on a long term basis.

The position that we are looking to appoint is a Engineering Workshop technician who has suitable experience working in either an education environment or Business. You must be able to start immediately for long term contract.

You must have a DBS issued within the last 12 months and signed up to the update service or be willing to pay GBP53 for a new DBS check that you can take to any education environment.
It is essential that you have relevant workshop technician experience and can carry out some of the following

-Supporting both candidates and Technology teachers throughout the day
-Setting up and using the equipment accurately and safely
-Take a proactive approach to work
-Organised and knowledge of the relevant health and safety regulations
-Able to manage the stock control of materials and equipment
-Ensure that equipment is properly cleaned and that tools and other materials are appropriately stored
