SEN PMLD Teacher Birmingham

Aspire People are recruiting a SEN Teacher for a South Birmingham Special Needs School to teach pupils with Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties. We are looking for committed and resilient teachers with QTS, to deliver creative and inspiring Entry Level Maths and English lessons to PMLD pupils.

You must be able to deliver exciting and engaging activities and be a good communicator, able to lead the class, work flexibly and be able to manage and work together with teaching assistants.
As a SEN Teacher it is vital that you are patient, understanding and compassionate. The role offers a variety of challenges, so it is very important you can react effectively and keep calm throughout. You will have skills and understanding of a range of teaching and learning strategies, to make a positive impact on the children’s progress. You must consider and support their communication and sensory needs.

We are looking for SEN Teachers that have experience of working with pupils with PMLD or a desire to teach pupils with PMLD. The ideal candidate will be someone who has a passion to remove the barriers to learning, that PMLD and other special needs can impact on.
