Aspire People are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, conscientious and self-motivated Site Technician to work under the direction of senior staff to support the effective operation of a school in Stafford. . The successful applicant will ideally have experience working as a Site Technician/Caretaker within a school or have strong maintenance experience in a different setting. The school that we are currently recruiting for is a small 11 – 18 school rooted in the community of Stafford. They enjoy the benefits of being a small school with talented students. The staff have energy, passion and determination so this is a perfect opportunity for somebody who has drive and enthusiasm.

What will be expected of you?

You will play a key role in maintaining the site and ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community. You will be hard working, enthusiastic and flexible with high standards and a ‘can do’ attitude. You will be able to work with a wide range of people, act on your own initiative and deal with any unexpected problems that arise.
You will possess the necessary skills to carry out non-specialist building maintenance work e.g. plumbing, glazing, carpentry, decorating etc..
You will be willing to support the activities of the school by following a morning or afternoon shift pattern, incorporating key holding duties for lettings outside of the normal school day.
Duties will include following a regular routine of checking the proper operation and function of alarms and fire equipment; following the water flushing routine; liaising with contractors carrying out maintenance checks and services; general maintenance and cleaning and general portage and collection activities as required.
