Are you an outstanding KS1 Teacher looking for a new challenge in Birmingham?
The school I am recruiting for are looking for a KS1 specialist who’s looking for a new challenge and wants to be part of large and supportive team. The job is a full time position, teaching Year 1 pupils and ability to plan and deliver Phonics lessons is essential. The job starts in September and will be a maternity contract for 9 months. There may be opportunity for a permanent contract for the right candidate.
The school is located in a deprived area of South Birmingham and so have developed a nurturing environment for both students and staff alike. Teachers who work at the school have said they have “great support from SLT and there is a strong team spirit across the school”.
As a full time Year 1 teacher the school will expect you to essentially be a permanent member of staff so the following is expected;
«Teach Year 1, including Phonics lessons using Read Write Inc.
« Assess, mark and plan lessons.
« Assess achievements of pupils.
«Provide progress reports and attend parent’s evenings and dept meetings.
