Make Your Dreams Come True Day
Since Aspire People was established in 2004 our aims and values have always been go the extra mile for our school and teachers.
As a company we are dedicated to making a difference within education, whether that would be helping fundraise at end of year events or CV workshops within schools.
With this in mind in January 2017 Aspire People started to participate in Make Your Dreams come true day; this involves working with schools across the Midlands to help bring a day of fun and laughter to children experiencing a difficult time.
“At Aspire People we like to remind ourselves that what we do is all about the kids! We value every person who works in Education as they feel the same way. When recruiting for schools, we don’t directly see the impact on the lives of children, so we had a really good time going into classrooms and rewarding these outstanding local children!”
Entries were opened early January with a fantastic response from schools across the Midlands. As part of the entry we asked schools if a child could have one wish what it would be? “Reading the hundreds of testimonials from school staff about children will go down as some of the best hours I have had in the job! I would recommend similar initiatives from other likeminded Education Agencies and Consultants!” – Daniel Dawkins, Operations Manager.
One entry stood out above the rest. It was for a couple of children from Amington Heath Primary who’s one wish was to share donuts with the whole class. After going through such a tough time it was amazing to see how selfless they were.
Having spoken to the school about the children and understanding what exactly they were going through we understood, that we needed to do a little more than bringing donuts into the classroom and give the children a real day to remember.
We worked with the school and the children to give them a day to remember and between us all we decided on a trip to Drayton Manor complete with all the extras. It really was a fantastic day creating memories and putting smiles on everyone’s faces.
