We are currently seeking a talented and creative Art and Design & Technology Teacher to join a vibrant and innovative secondary school. The school is committed to fostering creativity, curiosity, and excellence across all subjects, and is looking for a dynamic teacher to inspire students in both Art and Design & Technology.
The Role:
As an Art and DT Teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach both subjects across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This is a fantastic chance to bring your passion for the arts and design to the classroom, encouraging students to develop their skills, imagination, and problem-solving abilities.
You will:
Deliver engaging and creative lessons in both Art and Design & Technology.
Develop and deliver a broad and balanced curriculum that inspires students to explore their artistic and design potential.
Encourage and support students to reach their full potential through innovative teaching methods and practical, hands-on activities.
Work closely with a supportive department and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall student experience.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively and ensure a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, ensuring all students are supported in their learning journey.
Requirements:
A qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Art, Design & Technology, or a related field.
Passionate about teaching and sharing your knowledge of both Art and Design & Technology.
Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or be eligible for QTS.
Experience in teaching Art and DT at KS3 and KS4 is desirable, though NQTs are also welcome to apply.
Creative, innovative, and able to motivate students to reach their full potential.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging, inclusive learning environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A DBS on the update service or the willingness to purchase a new one.
