Aspire People are seeking a dynamic and creative Art and Design & Technology (DT) Teacher to join a secondary school in Aldridge, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students and contribute to the development of the school's Art and DT curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in both Art and Design & Technology.
Develop and implement lesson plans and schemes of work across key stages 3 and 4.
Assess and track student progress, providing timely feedback and support to ensure continuous improvement.
Encourage creativity and innovation in students through practical projects and coursework.
Contribute to the school's extracurricular activities, including art exhibitions and school projects.
Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to foster an inspiring learning environment.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Strong subject knowledge and experience in teaching both Art and DT at secondary level.
Creative and passionate about fostering students' artistic and design skills.
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
A commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
A DBS on the update service or the willingness to purchase a new one through Aspire People.
