About the Role:
We are looking for a compassionate, proactive, and dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our team at a well-established secondary school in Salford. This rewarding role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students overcome behavioural challenges, build emotional resilience, and develop positive attitudes towards learning. You will work closely with staff and students to create an inclusive, supportive environment that empowers every student to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to individual students and small groups facing behavioural challenges, helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.
Collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to create and implement personalised behaviour plans.
Work with the pastoral team to integrate positive behaviour strategies throughout the school.
Assist students in managing their emotions, building resilience, and enhancing their social and communication skills.
Contribute to creating a calm, inclusive, and focused classroom environment that fosters learning.
Track student progress, providing regular updates to teachers, parents, and relevant staff members.
Build trusting relationships with students, promoting respect, motivation, and emotional wellbeing.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience working with young people, ideally in a secondary school setting.
Strong understanding of behavioural management techniques and strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly.
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting students.
The ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
A genuine passion for supporting the emotional, social, and academic development of young people.
