Position: Level 2 / 3 SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) - Personal CareLocation: Kidderminster
Hours: Full-time/Part-time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Are you a qualified Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant with a passion for making a difference in the lives of students? Do you have the compassion and willingness to support with personal care needs in addition to educational assistance? We are looking for a dedicated and caring SEN TA to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide classroom support for students with Special Educational Needs, following Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
* Assist students in their learning and development, both academically and socially
* Offer one-on-one or small group support, adapting teaching materials as needed
* Help with personal care tasks, such as toileting, feeding, and hygiene, ensuring student dignity and comfort
* Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages independence
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to deliver the best care and education
* Assist with mobility, transfers, and use of adaptive equipment if needed
Requirements:
* Qualification as a Teaching Assistant, with experience in SEN
* Willingness to provide personal care as part of the role
* Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to supporting children with additional needs
* Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
* Experience with personal care or willingness to be trained in this area
* Understanding of safeguarding and health & safety regulations in an educational setting
