Cover Supervisor - Full Time - Secondary School - Manchester - Immediate Start.Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only plus 5 training days
Working Hours: Full Time, 35 hours per week

Salary: Grade 5 £26,873 per annum pro rata (Actual Salary £23,114)
About The Role:
Aspire People are proud to be working in partnership with a well-respected secondary school in central Manchester, who are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join their passionate and friendly team, starting as soon as possible.
The post holder is required to complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for delivering agreed learning activities to whole classes of students, to cover for short term absences of staff.
This will involve planning, preparing and delivering learning programmes to whole classes ensuring that the educational provision for students is not detrimentally affected by staff absence.
You will also be responsible for keeping the pupils engaged, managing behaviour where necessary, following the schools policies, as well as assessing the progress of the students in lessons, and recording assessments on the appropriate school systems.
The post holder will report to the Teacher and Senior Leaders. Apart from other colleagues in the school, the main contacts of the job will be: Head Teacher, teaching staff, other support staff and pupils.
The Candidate Will:
* Be responsible for supporting the management and development of a specialist subject in school or across a department, and or leading and deploying teaching assistants in addressing the needs of students who require help to overcome barriers to learning
* Work in collaboration with teaching colleagues to co-ordinate and plan schemes of work, to be used by teaching assistants undertaking specified teaching assignments.
* Contribute to Senior Management Team or Departmental Management Team
* Line manage and supervise support staff including implementation of performance management procedures
