About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and creative DT Teacher to deliver dynamic lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Design and Technology, with the ability to inspire students to explore their creativity and develop valuable practical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet curriculum objectives for DT.
Teach a range of topics, including Resistant Materials, Product Design, and Engineering.
Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and support where needed.
Create a positive, stimulating learning environment that encourages students to explore and experiment.
Ensure health and safety standards are met in the workshop and classroom.
Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities or clubs.
Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events.
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching Design and Technology at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Strong subject knowledge across a range of DT specialisms (e.g., Resistant Materials, Product Design, Engineering).
Enthusiastic about encouraging students' creativity and practical skills.
Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
A proactive team player with a passion for developing students' skills.
