Are you a creative and dedicated Design & Technology (DT) Teacher looking for your next exciting opportunity?
Aspire People is thrilled to recruit a passionate and innovative DT Teacher for a vibrant secondary school in South Birmingham. This is an ideal role for someone who is enthusiastic about teaching DT and inspiring students to explore their creativity and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality DT lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, covering areas such as product design, resistant materials, and graphics.
Encourage students to develop practical and theoretical knowledge of DT concepts.
Foster a creative and engaging learning environment where students are encouraged to experiment and innovate.
Track and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
Contribute to extracurricular activities related to Design & Technology, such as school projects and workshops.
Collaborate with colleagues to continually improve the DT curriculum and teaching strategies.
Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all students in your care.
Requirements:
A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
A strong passion for Design & Technology, with the ability to teach across a variety of DT disciplines.
Previous experience teaching DT at secondary school level is preferred, but newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and engage students, fostering a love for DT.
Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
A positive, flexible approach to teaching and the ability to work effectively within a team.
