Specialist Teacher - SEN - NuneatonAre you a qualified teacher or a newly qualified (ECT) teacher seeking a new challenge in a SEND School? Have you had experience with children who have additional needs or SEN needs, inclusive of an EHCP plan?
A provision (SEND) in Nuneaton is seeking a qualified teacher to work with the established team and help to implement and prepare planning, assessments, and lessons for children within the school.
This is a full-time, and a potential permanent post for the right candidate.
As a class teacher you will be responsible for planning, preparing, marking and assessing students work and ensuring children are meeting their individualised targets. You will have a full time teaching post with the dedicated planning and preparing time.
The school are looking to expand their teaching team due to the expansion of a new premises and the intake rising from the local authority and children's referrals. It is an all through SEN Specialist provision that is passionate and dedicated to giving children life experiences and dedicated care.
With the school expanding there is room to progress within the teaching ladder. The school are a large specialist provision that caters for all specialist SEN needs and require teachers and staff who are patient and nurturing to meet the needs of the children. You will be working alongside external outside agencies and parents/carers.
We are looking for but not ALL are desired:
- Strong knowledge of the curriculum.
- UK QTS (ECT / NQTs are accepted.)
- Experience within an School (6+ months.)
- Regular assessments of pupils.
- Able to engage in learning activities.
- Able to work with outside external agencies.
- Good at communication
- Passionate and dedicated
- Understanding of children with SEN and EHCP's.
The ideal teaching candidate will act with honesty and integrity, having strong subject knowledge, keep their knowledge and skills as teachers up to date and be self-critical, forge positive professional relationships and work with parents in the best interests of their pupils' Professional duties and responsibilities. Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils. Establish a safe and stimulating environment for pupils, rooted in mutual respect. Be aware of pupils' capabilities and their prior knowledge, and plan teaching to build on these. Demonstrate a critical understanding of developments in the subject and curriculum areas and promote the value of the school's ethos and values. Promote a love of learning and children's intellectual curiosity.
