Job Advert: Full-Time Qualified English Teacher - DesfordWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our team in Desford area on a full-time basis. This position will cover long-term sickness from October half-term until Easter break, with the potential for an extension.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach English Literature and English Language to KS3 - KS5 students.
* Plan, mark, and prepare engaging lessons in line with the curriculum.
* Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to inspire and challenge students of all abilities.
* Work collaboratively with the department to ensure smooth continuity of teaching during the absence.
* Complete a thorough handover with the current teacher before their leave to ensure a seamless transition.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* Strong knowledge of the English curriculum from KS3 to KS5.
* Proven ability to engage students and deliver outstanding lessons.
* Experience in planning, marking, and preparing lessons independently.
* A commitment to high standards of teaching and student progress.
