Key Responsibilities:
Teach French at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring high standards of learning and achievement.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of all students.
Encourage a positive, inclusive, and challenging learning environment.
Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and ensure continuous improvement.
Promote language learning beyond the classroom through extra-curricular activities or events.
Collaborate with colleagues across the department to share best practices and contribute to the development of the curriculum.
Actively participate in the school's broader community activities and school events.
Essential Criteria:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A strong academic background in French or related fields.
Previous experience teaching French at secondary school level.
A passion for languages and fostering a love of French in students.
Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
Ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities.
Desirable Criteria:
Experience teaching French to GCSE level.
A good understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Modern Languages.
Ability to use technology effectively in the classroom.
