Full-Time Cover Supervisor - ShrewsburyAre you passionate about supporting students and ensuring they have a positive learning experience? We are looking for a Full-Time Cover Supervisor to join a school team in Shrewsbury.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in managing classrooms during teacher absences, ensuring that students remain engaged and focused on their work. You'll supervise pre-planned lessons, helping to maintain a calm and productive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervising students during lessons in the absence of their regular teacher
* Ensuring students stay on task and complete set activities
* Supporting students' learning and addressing any questions they may have
* Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
* Reporting any issues or concerns to relevant teaching staff
* Assisting with general administrative tasks as required
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with young people (desirable)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a focused atmosphere
* A proactive and flexible approach to work
* Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students' learning
