Job description
Are you a dedicated and driven Teacher with the skills to support students with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and MLD? We are looking for a KS4 Functional Skills Teacher to join our specialist through school, where your role will be crucial in helping students gain practical skills for life.Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver Functional Skills lessons to mixed-ability KS4 students.
- Work with smaller class sizes, ensuring personalized support for each student's unique needs.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students, creating a positive and safe learning environment.
- Use your communication skills to engage students and foster a sense of belonging, helping them feel confident in their learning.
- Implement effective behaviour management techniques to support a calm, focused classroom.
- Mark and assess student progress, providing feedback and adapting lessons to meet their evolving needs.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience working with students with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, or MLD is desirable.
- xceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to understand and support the diverse needs of students.
- Strong behaviour management strategies and a calm, proactive approach to challenges.
