Geography TeacherPosition: Geography Teacher
Location: Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire
School: Secondary School
Contract: Minimum 1 term (September until Christmas)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Newcastle under Lyme for the upcoming academic year starting in September 2023. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a large modern high school with a great reputation in the local area.
Responsibilities:
Teach Geography subjects up to KS4 level
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote student understanding and curiosity about the world around them
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the geography curriculum
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the school's extracurricular activities
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
Specialisation in Geography
Experience teaching Geography up to KS4 level
Excellent knowledge of the UK national curriculum for Geography
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Enthusiasm for geography and the ability to inspire students
