Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our supportive team. Role Overview:
As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality, individualised learning experiences for students with a range of special educational needs. You will work closely with other professionals, including teaching assistants, therapists, and external specialists, to ensure that students receive the appropriate support to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
-Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the diverse learning needs of students with SEN.
-Work with students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, providing targeted support and differentiation.
-Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to engage and support students with varying abilities and needs.
-Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to both students and parents/carers.
-Collaborate with other professionals (e.g., teaching assistants, speech and language therapists, psychologists) to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
-Contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and ensure these are implemented effectively.
-Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
-Engage with parents and guardians to share progress and involve them in their child's learning journey.
About You:
We are looking for a teacher who is:
-Qualified: A relevant teaching qualification (QTS) is essential. SEN qualifications or experience would be an advantage.
-Experienced: Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
-Empathetic: A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs and a commitment to making a positive impact on their lives.
-Creative: Able to adapt lessons and resources to meet the individual needs of students.
-Collaborative: Willing to work as part of a team and liaise effectively with other professionals and families.
-Patient and Resilient: Calm, understanding, and capable of dealing with the challenges that may arise in a SEN setting.
