Job description
Are you a passionate and skilled HLTA looking for a rewarding opportunity? Aspire People is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work 1:1 with a KS3 pupil, supporting their learning and development. This part-time, long-term position is ideal for someone who thrives on making a difference in a young person's educational journey.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 support to a KS3 pupil to enhance their learning experience.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to support the pupil's educational and personal development.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to the teacher and parents/carers as needed.
- Support the pupil in overcoming barriers to learning and help build their confidence and independence.
- Manage challenging behaviours and implement tailored strategies to correct behaviours and deescalate
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Proven experience working with pupils in a similar setting, ideally within KS3.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to meet the individual needs of the pupil.
- Relevant HLTA qualifications or equivalent experience.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
