Job Opportunity: Qualified SEN Teaching Assistants - Level 2 or Level 3Location: Castle Bromwich / Birmingham
Position: Full-time, Permanent
Aspire Recruitment is recruiting qualified Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistants to join a special school in Birmingham, providing support to students with a variety of additional needs, including SEMH, SLD, PMLD, global delay, autism, trauma, behavioural challenges, and physical disabilities.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students aged 5-16 (Year 1 to Year 11) who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Your role will involve delivering tailored support to help students access the curriculum, develop essential life skills, and reach their full potential. You'll be part of a dedicated team that provides outstanding pastoral care, ensuring each child feels understood, valued, and supported.
What We're Looking For:
* MUST HAVE a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), especially SEMH, is highly desirable
* A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to working with children
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
* Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to supporting students' success
