PMLD Support Worker Transitioning into SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: Kidderminster
Aspire Agency is seeking an experienced PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) Support Worker to transition into a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant role within a specialist school in Kidderminster. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a background in care, support work, or working with individuals with complex needs to apply their skills in an educational setting.
Role Details:
* Location: Kidderminster
* Schedule: 5 days per week, term-time only
* Start Date: ASAP
* Contract Type: Ongoing temp-to-perm opportunity
* Transport: Must drive, as there is no public transport to the school
What We Are Looking For:
* Experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, or working with individuals with PMLD, disabilities, or complex medical needs
* A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting students in education
* Happy to do personal care
* Ability to assist with personal care, mobility support, and sensory learning activities
* Experience with hoisting, PEG feeding, or alternative communication methods (Makaton, PECS, AAC) is desirable but not essential
* A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
