This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for Science to help nurture students' curiosity and inspire them to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5), covering all core science disciplines (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics).
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and high-quality lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that motivates students and encourages independent thinking.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the wider school community.
Collaborate with other staff to continuously improve the teaching of Science and develop departmental resources.
Support and guide students in their academic and personal development.
Essential Criteria:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A strong academic background in Science (Degree in Science or related subject).
Experience teaching Science at secondary school level (KS3/KS4).
Passion for inspiring students and a commitment to their academic success.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to differentiate lessons and tailor teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Desirable Criteria:
Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 5 (A-level).
Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Science.
A proactive approach to professional development.
