The Role:
As a Science Teacher, you will have the chance to teach across key stages 3 and 4, covering a variety of scientific disciplines, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. You'll be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and foster a love of science in your students. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an ECT, you'll be supported with mentorship and professional development to help you succeed in your role.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality science lessons for students at key stage 3 and 4
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all students, ensuring inclusivity in the classroom
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to help them achieve their potential
Collaborate with colleagues in the science department to share best practices and enhance learning
Participate in extra-curricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities
Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to support the overall well-being of students
About You:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - we will also consider ECTs
A strong passion for science and the ability to inspire students in the subject
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students at all levels
Strong organizational and communication skills
A positive, proactive attitude towards teaching and learning
A commitment to continuous professional development and personal growth
Experience in teaching science at secondary level (desirable but not essential for ECTs)
