Job description
Secondary School Science TechnicianAspire People are an established education agency who are looking to recruit an experienced School Science Technician to work within a school in Middleton.
The role is Monday-Friday and the successful candidate will be required to work on a full time basis.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced School Science Technician to share their knowledge and expertise in order to help drive the science department forward.
It is essential that you have relevant science technician experience and can carry out the following essential duties,
-Supporting both candidates and science teachers throughout the day
-Setting up and using the equipment accurately and safely
-Take a proactive approach to work
-Organised and knowledge of the relevant health and safety regulations
-Able to manage the stock control of chemicals and equipment
-Ensure that equipment is properly cleaned and that chemicals and other materials are appropriately stored

Applicants must have a DBS issued within the last 12 months and signed up to the update service or be willing to purchase a new DBS check to allow you to work within an education environment.
