Position: SEN Specialist Teaching AssistantLocation: Peterborough and surrounding areas
Availability: Daily cover, long-term assignments, with temp-to-perm opportunities
Student Age: Secondary school (11-16 years old)
Role Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in secondary schools across Peterborough. In this role, you'll provide one-to-one assistance or work with small groups, helping each student reach their full potential. You'll play a crucial part in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment tailored to the individual needs of each student.
What We're Seeking:
Experience: Previous experience working with SEN students is essential.
Skills: Patience, empathy, and a strong understanding of various SEN needs. Strong communication skills are vital for effective collaboration with teachers, parents, and other staff members.
Flexibility: Willingness to work across different schools in the Peterborough area and adapt to varying educational environments.
DBS: A current enhanced DBS on the update service, or a willingness to obtain one.
