Aspire people are working alongside a independent school catering for pupils aged 5 to 19 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as additional learning needs. The school is committed to providing a tailored approach to education, offering smaller class sizes and a differentiated curriculum designed to support each pupil's individual journey, both academically and socially.
We are seeking Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated team. This is a unique opportunity for open-minded, proactive, and patient individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils in overcoming barriers and achieving their full potential.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils in their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Work closely with the teaching team to deliver a differentiated curriculum tailored to individual needs.
F- oster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
- Help pupils build confidence, resilience, and life skills.
- Assist with classroom activities, one-to-one support, and small group interventions.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is open-minded, adaptable, and proactive in their approach.
- Demonstrates patience and understanding, especially when working with pupils facing additional challenges.
- Has the ability to build strong relationships and trust with pupils.
- Thrives in a team-oriented environment but can also work independently when needed.
- Is passionate about helping young people succeed both academically and socially.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH and additional needs is desirable but not essential. We welcome candidates who have the right attitude, willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
