Qualified SEN Teaching Assistant - West MidlandsFull-Time | Term-Time | Flexible Travel Across Sites | Immediate Start Available
Location: West Midlands (Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley, Sandwell & Surrounding Areas)
Pay: Competitive Daily Rate (Based on Experience & Qualifications)
Are you a qualified Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Are you flexible to travel across schools in the West Midlands and confident working with a wide range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH?
We are currently seeking a committed and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant to work across various school settings in the region. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is confident working in different environments and enjoys helping children overcome barriers to learning.

The Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting children with SEN (including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language difficulties, and sensory needs) in both 1:1 and group settings
* Assisting with classroom tasks, lesson delivery, and behaviour support
* Implementing tailored support strategies based on EHCPs and teacher guidance
* Creating safe, inclusive learning environments where children feel supported
* Working collaboratively with SENCOs, teachers, and external professionals
* Being flexible and willing to travel to various schools across the West Midlands as needed

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 minimum)
* Proven experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a school setting
* A strong understanding of Autism, ADHD, and SEMH support strategies
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
* A flexible, reliable approach with a willingness to travel to different school locations
* A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
