Job Opportunity: SEN Teacher (Maternity Cover)Location: Worcestershire/Evesham
Position: Full-Time, Maternity Cover
Class Size: 10 Pupils (Year 3 & 4)
Aspire are seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team on a maternity cover basis. The role will involve working with a small class of 10 pupils, aged Year 3 & 4, who are working below their expected cognitive age.
The class follows a semi-formal curriculum designed to meet a range of individual needs, including students with conditions such as Down's Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other learning disabilities. You will be responsible for delivering tailored lessons, fostering an inclusive learning environment, and supporting the students' personal and academic development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons based on the semi-formal curriculum
* Provide individual support for students with a range of needs
* Work closely with other staff to ensure a collaborative approach to each child's development
* Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to parents and the wider school team
* Create a positive and nurturing classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with Down's Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and similar conditions
* A patient, empathetic, and creative approach to teaching
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
