We are excited to offer a permanent position for a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Tower Hamlets.
SEN Teaching Assistant -Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one support tailored to one boy with Autism in year 3.
* Supporting the child with personal care.
* Assisting teachers in creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
* Help develop and implement personalised strategies and interventions to support students' individual needs.
* Monitor and document progress, sharing updates with teachers and parents to celebrate achievements and address challenges.
* Encourage student engagement and promote confidence, self-esteem, and independence.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external specialists to deliver holistic support.
SEN Teaching Assistant -What We're Looking For:
* A 2:1 degree or higher (preferably in Psychology or a related field).
* Previous experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, is highly desirable.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and staff.
* Ability to thrive as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
* Relevant training or qualifications in SEN support would be a bonus.
