Job description
Aspire People are seeking compassionate and dedicated SENCo Teaching Assistants to join our team, supporting Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Reception classes in schools across Loughborough and nearby areas.As a SENCo Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in providing tailored support to children with Special Educational Needs, ensuring they can thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement personalized support plans for children with special educational needs.
* Provide individual and group support to children, fostering a positive learning environment.
* Assist in adapting activities to meet each child's unique needs, focusing on early years development goals.
* Support social and emotional development, promoting a sense of inclusion and well-being in the classroom.
* Monitor and document children's progress, providing feedback to the teacher and SENCo team.
* Encourage positive behavior and help children build essential life skills.
Requirements:
* Experience working in an EYFS or Reception setting, particularly with children who have SEN.
* Understanding of the EYFS framework and commitment to early years education.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting young children with varying needs.
* Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and staff.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable.
