Job description
We are seeking a highly organized, experienced, and dedicated SEND Administrator to join our team.This pivotal role will involve providing administrative support to the SENDCo (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator) and the wider SEND team to ensure the smooth running of all SEND-related services within the school.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the SENDCo and SEND team, including managing records, correspondence, and communications related to SEND students.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records for students with SEND, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and data protection regulations.
Liaising with Stakeholders:
Coordinate and communicate with parents, external agencies, and relevant professionals to ensure the effective delivery of SEND services and support.
Report Preparation:
Assist in preparing reports and documentation for Annual Reviews, SEND meetings, and other relevant documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
Monitoring & Tracking:
Help track progress and outcomes for SEND students, ensuring data is regularly updated and shared with appropriate teams and external agencies.
Timetabling & Scheduling:
Coordinate and schedule meetings, reviews, and assessments related to SEND students, ensuring all necessary parties are informed and available.
Resource Management:
Support the administration of resources and provisions for SEND students, including managing the allocation and usage of support assistants, classroom accommodations, and learning aids.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in an administrative role, ideally within a school or educational setting, with a focus on SEND.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact confidently with staff, parents, external agencies, and other stakeholders.
Understanding of SEND processes, policies, and relevant legislation (e.g., SEND Code of Practice).
Proficiency in IT and school management systems, with the ability to manage and manipulate data accurately.
A proactive and empathetic approach, with a commitment to supporting students with SEND and ensuring their needs are met.
Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
