Aspire People has the perfect opportunity for you!
About the Role:
Aspire People, a leading education agency, is seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work within secondary schools across South Staffordshire. As an SEN TA, you will play a critical role in supporting students with a variety of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH), and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide targeted support to secondary school students with SEN, both inside and outside the classroom, in one-on-one or small-group settings.
Assist teachers in managing challenging behaviours and implementing effective behaviour management strategies.
Adapt and differentiate learning materials to ensure all students can access the curriculum effectively.
Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other school staff to provide consistent and effective support for each student.
Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation.
Monitor and report on student progress and provide feedback to the SENCO and other teaching staff.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN or challenging behaviour, particularly within a secondary school setting (desired but not essential).
A patient, empathetic, and resilient personality with a passion for working with young people.
Strong communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with students, staff, and parents.
Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to working in different secondary school environments across South Staffordshire.
A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN support is advantageous but not essential.
What We Offer:
Competitive rates of pay.
Flexible working hours to suit your availability.
Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
A supportive and welcoming team of education specialists committed to helping you succeed.
The chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of secondary school students with SEN.
