Job description
SEND Teaching Assistant Immediate Start StreetlyThe school I am recruiting for are based in Streetly and are looking for a full time SEND Teaching Assistant who has experience working with 2 children with ASD and challenging behaviour.
The role is working in KS1 within a Reception class setting supporting 1 x child with Autism and 1 x challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis in the morning and then working with a child who needs 1:1 support and possible personal care in the afternoon. The children are keen to learn, but they needs support with their social skills and managing their emotions.
The setting has average EAL and SEND needs for the geographic area and like to provide additional support for students with additional needs.

As a full time, teaching assistant, the school will expect you to essentially be a permanent member of staff, so the following is expected.
* Support a child with Autism 1:1
* Support the class teacher with daily activities
* Assess achievements of pupil.
* Ensure the student can access the curriculum
