Job Title: Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching AssistantLocation: Derby, UK
Employment Type: Full-Time
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are seeking a dedicated and qualified SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team in Derby.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to students with SEND in both academic and non-academic activities.
Collaborate with the teaching staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and strategies for students with SEND.
Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
Assist in the assessment and tracking of students' progress.
Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure effective communication and support.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent.
Experience working with students with SEND in an educational setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting diverse learning needs.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to SEND.
