Job description
SLD Teaching Assistant - KidderminsterAspire Agency is seeking an experienced SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties) Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Kidderminster. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional with a strong background in supporting students with severe learning difficulties and complex needs.
Role Details:
* Location: Kidderminster
* Schedule: 5 days per week, term-time only
* Start Date: ASAP
* Contract Type: Ongoing temp-to-perm opportunity
* Transport: Must drive as there is no public transport to the school
Requirements:
* Proven experience working with students with SLD, PMLD, or complex needs
* Ability to support students with communication, personal care, and sensory learning
* Happy to do personal care
* Knowledge of EHCPs, behaviour management strategies, and alternative communication methods (Makaton, PECS, AAC)
* A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach
* A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
