Aspire People are excited to be recruiting for a full-time Sports Coach to join a thriving primary school in Alum Rock, Birmingham. If you are passionate about sports and physical education and want to inspire primary-aged pupils, this is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality physical education while also supporting other areas of the curriculum.

About the School: This vibrant and inclusive primary school in Alum Rock is committed to fostering a love of learning and promoting physical health and well-being. With a focus on providing students with a well-rounded education, the school strives to create an engaging and supportive environment where children can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. The school is looking for a Sports Coach who will be dedicated to helping pupils develop their skills, teamwork, and confidence through sport.

About the Role: As a Sports Coach, you will deliver a variety of PE sessions to primary-aged children, helping them build physical skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. You'll have the chance to inspire young minds with engaging lessons that promote healthy lifestyles, fitness, and sports participation.
In addition to your core responsibility of coaching, there may be occasions when you will be asked to support with PSHE (Personal, Social, Health, and Economic Education), RE (Religious Education), and PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) time, working alongside the classroom teachers to ensure students receive a well-rounded and balanced education.

Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons and sports coaching to primary-aged students, covering a range of sports and physical activities.
* Develop and maintain a positive, active learning environment where students feel encouraged and motivated to improve their skills.
* Work with individual students and small groups to help develop specific physical skills and build confidence in sports.
* Encourage the development of key life skills such as teamwork, communication, and resilience through sport.
* On occasion, support with PSHE and RE lessons to contribute to the holistic development of students.
* Cover PPA time for teachers as required, supporting students across a range of subjects, ensuring a smooth running of the school day.
* Work closely with the leadership team and teaching staff to promote physical activity, health, and well-being within the school community.

What We Offer:
* A full-time position in a thriving primary school in Alum Rock.
* A chance to make a real impact on students' physical and emotional development.
* Opportunities to work alongside dedicated and supportive staff, enhancing your teaching experience and personal development.
* The chance to contribute to a well-rounded curriculum by occasionally supporting PSHE, RE, and PPA time.
* Competitive pay rates, with flexibility based on experience and qualifications.
* Ongoing support and professional development from Aspire People to help you grow in your role.

What You'll Need:
* Proven experience in sports coaching, ideally within a school or youth setting.
* A passion for sport and physical education, with a desire to inspire young students.
* Strong understanding of how to engage children in physical activity and promote a healthy lifestyle.
* Experience or willingness to support with PSHE, RE, and PPA time in a classroom setting.
* The ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* A proactive and positive approach, with the flexibility to support across the curriculum.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one through Aspire People).
