Teacher of History - key responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging, high-quality History lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (with opportunities for Key Stage 5 in the future).
* Inspire students by bringing history to life, fostering an understanding of historical events and their relevance to the modern world.
* Develop, plan, and implement the history curriculum, ensuring it is both challenging and accessible for all students.
* Regularly assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support students in achieving their full potential.
* Promote the values of historical inquiry, critical thinking, and independent research.
* Participate in school events, including history-related extracurricular activities, clubs, and trips.
* Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, ideas, and best practices to ensure high standards across the department.
Teacher of History - requirements:
* An excellent undergraduate degree in History or a related field.
* A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
* A genuine passion for history and the ability to inspire students with your enthusiasm.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* The ability to teach History at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable but not essential).
* A commitment to developing professionally and contributing to the wider life of the school.
