Job description
Are you a dedicated and compassionate individual passionate about supporting children's education?Two exceptional primary schools in Hackney and North London are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in students' learning journeys, working alongside skilled educators in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support individual students or small groups in achieving their learning objectives.
- Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Provide tailored support to students with additional needs, including those with SEN, to ensure they thrive academically and socially.
- Help manage classroom behavior and encourage positive interactions among students.
- Contribute to lesson planning, classroom organization, and the preparation of learning materials.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers to inform planning and interventions.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and nurturing atmosphere for all learners.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in a primary school setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and primary education principles.
- Experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with staff, students, and parents.
- Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude toward learning and student engagement.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certification, are preferred.
